India Central Electricity Generating Board CEA sources said that by 2022, India all coal-fired power plant capacity utilization rates as low as 48%, while non-coal-fired power facility capacity will increase rapidly to a level, that is, the remaining coal facilities will form a more non-performing assets.
Central Electricity Generating Board pointed out in the draft national plan of power by 2022, will be only about half of the coal-fired power facilities and power generation plan, that is to say, no power station had to idle for lack of demand.
According to the Central Electricity Generating Board statistics, to the end of fiscal year 2021-2022, China will reach 523 GW of installed capacity, including in the construction of 50 gigawatts of installed capacity of coal. And in order to implement more renewable energy power generation in the future, more and more coal-fired power plant will be idle.
By October 2016, the national coal generation facilities utilization has fallen to 60%, FY 2007-08, utilization of these coal-fired power facilities around 80%.
